Supporting the Wellbeing of Early Childhood Providers
Caring for young children is a deeply meaningful and rewarding profession—but it can also be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding.
At Lincoln Littles, we recognize that when providers thrive, children thrive. That’s why we’ve partnered with UNL Extension to create the Lincoln Littles Wellness Program, a year-long journey focused on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness—helping early childhood providers build balance, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
A Holistic Approach to Wellness
The 8 Dimensions of Wellness provide a framework for nurturing every aspect of your wellbeing, ensuring you have the support, tools, and community needed to sustain a fulfilling career in early childhood education:
- Emotional Wellness – Managing stress, building resilience, and finding joy in your work and personal life.
- Physical Wellness – Prioritizing movement, nutrition, and healthy habits to keep you energized.
- Financial Wellness – Understanding financial stability, planning for the future, and reducing financial stress.
- Social Wellness – Building relationships, connecting with colleagues, and strengthening your support system.
- Environmental Wellness – Creating healthy and safe environments for yourself and the children you care for.
- Occupational Wellness – Finding purpose in your work, preventing burnout, and advancing your career.
- Spiritual Wellness – Exploring personal beliefs and mindfulness practices that bring inner peace.
- Intellectual Wellness – Engaging in lifelong learning and professional growth.
What to Expect from the Wellness Program
The Program Includes:
- Monthly Wellness Sessions (10 in-service hours) – Each month, participants dive deeper into a specific wellness dimension with guidance from community partners and experts who provide valuable tools and resources.
