At Cedars Youth Services, families can feel confident that their child or children are in a safe and stable environment. The staff takes pride in being a source of consistency in the kids’ lives from infancy through young adulthood. Cedars Youth Services provides families the resources, opportunities and education necessary for fostering a strong familial connection. The organization also partners with others in the community to embrace togetherness and create the best support system possible for its families. Its mission revolves around providing a vital sense of security that will help children to flourish beyond the program.
Amanda Nielsen is the Program Director of the Early Childhood Development Center at Cedars Youth Services. After working part-time as the lead toddler teacher at Bryan, Amanda knew early childhood was the field she wanted to work in. In one instance, a pregnant couple approached her and informed her that they had already requested her for their unborn child. Amanda spent the majority of her childhood moving from city to city because her father was in the military. Now in her role at Cedars, she loves having the opportunity to be a source of consistency for children and families in the community.
